Novice
Point Trophy Scoring:
The winning crew in the
head race will get 17 points. Each spot after that will be worth
one point less, down to one point for the last-place crew. The
two highest-placing crews from each team will count toward the
team score (if a school has crews receiving 15, 10, 7, and 3
points, respectively, the team score will be 25).
Varsity
Progression from Head Race to 2000M Races
The two fastest crews in
the head race from each school will advance to the 2000M races.
The six fastest crews overall, after the two fastest from each
school have been selected, will also advance, for a total of 20
entrants in the 2000M races. The 20 crews will then be ranked in
order of finish in the head race. The four fastest will race in
the A Final, the next four fastest will race in the B Final, the
next four fastest will race in the C Final, the next four fastest
will race in the D Final, and the remaining four will race in the
E Final.
Varsity
Point Trophy Scoring:
The winner of the A Final
will receive 20 points, second will receive 19, third will receive
18, and so on, down to 4 for the winner of the E Final and 1 for
fourth place in the E Final. The two highest-placing crews from
each team will count toward the team score.
Trophies:
The Varsity Points
Champions will receive the
Cal-Sag Varsity Cup,
presented by the USRowing National Training Center, to keep permanently. The
Varsity Points Champions will also receive the
Blue Island Cup,
a
perpetual trophy which will be kept on display by the City of Blue
Island. The Novice Points Champions will receive the
Cal-Sag Novice Cup
, presented by the Chicago Rowing Center, to keep
permanently. The Novice Points Champions will also receive the
Calumet Park Cup,
a perpetual trophy which will be kept on display by the Village of Calumet Park. |
